Our Leadership Team
Community of Regional Teams
Donors, sponsors and friends of Young Life Africa form a community around the Young Life Africa staff. We call this “pamoja, pamoja” which translates “together, together.” A sharing of vision, heart and commitment level, similar to Acts 2 where the believers were all together in one place and there was a miraculous outpouring of the Holy Spirit and power. In the same way, we rely on the Spirit and His power to connect our regional teams in the United States with staff, leaders and kids in Africa. Regional Teams are mission communities of dedicated volunteers and staff working together to help fund and equip the ministry of Young Life to reach every teen in Africa and the Middle East for Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. These groups stay in touch regularly by phone, video calls, email, WhatsApp and social media to pray and support the ministry on the ground. We are divided geographically by teams to go deep in a specific ministry area. Regional teams may have the opportunity to travel to their country or countries to work at Young Life camps, visit clubs and get to know the staff and countries they support. The community of regional teams meets annually either in the U.S. or in Africa. Come join us and be a part of Young Life Africa!
