When Adugna was a teen, a friend told him about Young Life, and it sounded interesting, so he wanted to check it out. The games were great, but he really enjoyed hearing about the gospel. Later, the same friend invited him to camp where he continued to hear the love of the gospel and ultimately began his relationship with Jesus. When Adugna came home, his Young Life leader casted a vision and encouraged him to become a leader too. Adugna believed the truth he heard from his leader and started volunteering to reach more teens like him who are lost and longing for a place to be known. Today, Adugna is the area director in the Dredawa and Harar areas of Ethiopia, overseeing more than 80 leaders, with almost half being women, and serving in seven clubs to reach teenagers with the gospel of Jesus.
