Belindah Oyugi Mwamuye* – Kenya

Communications Specialist

Belindah fell in love with Young Life when she attended a camp in 2006. She was amazed that teenagers were treated with love, and their joy melted her heart. Since then, she’s had a passion to see more teens experience the joy of Christ as their lives are transformed. She’s been blessed to see teenagers grow up and become Young Life leaders and to befriend and encourage teen moms who have been rejected and disowned by the community. She is a key YoungLives leader who is journeying with 32 teen mothers and regularly meets with them in clubs and Campaigners. Belindah is also a Young Life Neighborhood Team Leader (NTL). She is married to husband Simon Mwamuye, area director of Young Life Mainland West Kenya. They have two beautiful children, Francis and Wilhelmina. It is her desire to make a difference as a communications specialist — telling the stories of teens experiencing Jesus and how lives are transformed. She works to ensure the gospel reaches every teenager and for their testimonies to be witnessed by the world.
