Cathrine Wanjiru Odongo – Kenya

In high school, a friend of Cathrine’s introduced her to Jesus at the Young Catholics Association (YCA). Before meeting Christ, Cathrine was a part of a rebellious group of friends and made poor decisions. However, the new friends she made from YCA showed her a different love, one that came from Christ. After accepting Jesus, Cathrine got involved in a local church youth group and she began to understand what serving God looked like. Cathrine first got connected to Young Life in 2009 through her husband, Richard Odongo, who serves as a regional director in Kenya. Today, Cathrine serves as a regional coordinator for YoungLives, a ministry for teen moms.
