Cathy Okurotho – Uganda

Area Director

Cathy grew up in a Christian family and met the Lord in 2002 as a teenager. Cathy’s parents died when she was young, which resulted in a painful childhood. She often thought it would be easier to give up and end her life. It was challenging for Cathy to find funds to attend school. She prayed daily that God would provide her a way. She applied for a scholarship and by the grace of God, was the first student to receive a full scholarship. After this answer to prayer, Cathy began faithfully serving Christ. Soon after, one of her friends who was a Young Life leader invited her to Young Life club. It was here that she learned how to do contact work. She now serves as an area director in Masaka, Uganda.
