Charles first met his two Young Life leaders while playing soccer after school. He interviewed them for his journalism class and asked them why they always hung out with high school kids. This was the beginning of many great conversations. He was amazed that they wanted to get to know him, and as the relationship between them progressed, Charles accepted Jesus into his life. In 2007, Charles went to Young Life leader training and was encouraged by Steve Larmey to start Young Life in Kumi, Uganda. It has had its challenges, but Charles now oversees a fruitful ministry as an area director in eastern Uganda with many leaders and several clubs where he strives to be a light.
