Deo Tatyabala – Uganda*

Area Director

Deo found a Bible one day and his curiosity drove him to open it. The more he read about God’s love, the deeper he desired to know it and want it for himself and so began a relationship with Jesus. His friend Augustine, a regional director, told Deo about Young Life and invited him to be a cabin leader at an upcoming camp. While there, Deo’s heart broke for teenagers, and he commited to being a Young Life leader. Today, Deo serves as an area director in Budaka and Mbale in Eastern Uganda.
