Gerryson Otieno Sadieda – Kenya

Growing up, Gerryson had a life filled with grief because of an alcoholic father. At 14, Gerryson heard a sermon that changed his life; a preacher in Mombasa taught on the peace that is found in Jesus Christ. Gerryson was encouraged to carry that peace with him back to his family, and began praying for his father to experience that same peace. His prayers were answered when his father accepted Christ as well. Later on, while visiting his brother who was a Young Life leader, Gerryson picked up a Campaigners booklet, sparking his curiosity for the ministry. He connected with leaders in his town to get involved as a volunteer leader; he has stayed involved ever since. Today, Gerryson is an area director in Migori, Kenya.
