Hildegren Kimbunga – Tanzania

Area Director

Hildegren was one of the first Young Life volunteer leaders in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania when she came on board in 2004. She was introduced to Young Life by a leader named Deo Kyara who she met at a church revival. The two were connected by their passion for the Lord as well as for the youth of Dar es Salaam, and so a 12+ year partnership in ministry was born. She serves as the area director in Dar es Salaam, leading clubs in Temboni, Jltegemee High School, and the Ubungo neighborhood. As a mature follower of Jesus within the organization in Tanzania, she acts as a faithful mentor to many Young Life staff members and volunteers throughout the country, bringing wisdom, joy, and passion to the team.
