John-Murray Orr – Zimbabwe

Area Director

John-Murray is the area director for Harare North and East in Zimbabwe. Even though John-Murray’s brother took him to church every Sunday when he was growing up, he never understood the love of Christ nor the depth of scripture. Years later a friend invited John-Murray to a Bible study. It was in this study that John-Murray learned of the depth of God’s great love. While he was with the youth group in a local church, a man named Power showed up to the group and shared about Young Life. John-Murray asked the head pastor if they could have a Young Life club in the church building to reach more students in the surrounding areas. So much growth came out of this one club! John-Murray counts it an honor to continue growing and learning alongside a team chasing after the Kingdom and kids.
