While Johnson was attending Bishop Stuart University, Young Life leaders, Emma and Sheillah, shared with him about Young Life. They invited him to come to a Young Life camp. Johnson had heard of Jesus before, but at camp, he heard about Jesus’ love in a new way. He made a life-changing decision to accept Jesus in his life. After growing more in his relationship with Jesus, he felt like God was urging him to become a Young Life leader. He began to volunteer as a leader in his area, and today is an area director in Kazo-Kiruhura, Uganda. Johnson is gifted in and passionate about prayer and believes it to be the greatest strategy in his ministry.
