Sakhile “Cindy” Moyo – Zimbabwe

Area Director

Cyndy is an extrovert who lives life wholeheartedly and humbly. About her relationship with Jesus, Cyndy remarks: “I grew up in a family where we all went to church on Sundays, but we were not saved. We went because granny would not allow any children to be left at home on Sundays. In 2005, when I was 15, I started to better understand Christianity while attending a local church. Then I got baptized after accepting Jesus Christ to be my personal Savior. Before then, I did not know the importance of prayer and I had anger issues and hated being amongst a group of people. However, now that I am a born-again child of God, I am able to socialize with others, practice self-control and share the gospel to others who are struggling with what I went through. Not only am I a Young Life leader, but I am also a youth leader at church and I am coaching a number of adolescents in my community.”

“I got involved in Young Life in 2016 through Sithandazile. She had invited me to clubs and meetings, but I would always give excuses. One day, I decided to go and see what it was all about. I realized it was exactly what I always wanted to do since childhood—standing up for the needy and vulnerable in all communities.” Cyndy now serves as an area director in Zimbabwe, and we are so thankful for her joyful leadership!
