Sentayehu Derebe – Ethiopia

Area Director

Sentayehu Desalegan is an area director in West Ethiopia. He is a kind and thoughtful leader who leads his area in the most intentional ways. When he was 15 years old, Sentayehu began his relationship with Jesus in adventist school. Before knowing Jesus, Sentayehu found it challenging to see joy or goodness in his life as smoking and drinking addictions controlled him. After meeting Jesus, Sentayehu’s life was freed from addictions and joy flooded his heart. Sentayehu was first introduced to Young Life when he met his local area director in their community, who later invited him to come to club. Since going to his first club, Sentayehu has remained involved in Young Life and is excited to continue to serve God through Young Life as area director.
