Zinnah Yallah – Liberia

Zinnah grew up in a Christian home where he sang in the children’s choir and went to Sunday school. Zinnah met Jesus during the civil war in Liberia where he made this vow to God, “If He saves me, I will follow Him for the rest of my life.” After the heat of the brutal civil war in Liberia, a friend invited Zinnah to Church. Jesus had kept him safe from harm, so Zinnah decided to follow Him for the rest of his life. He got involved in Young Life when his friends Paul Kangar (still on Young Life staff) and James Davis (the former vice president of Africa West), shared the vision of Young Life with him. He was a volunteer for many years and served as the senior regional director in Liberia. He is now the vice president for the Coastal Geography for Young Life Africa West.
