Celebrating Young Life-Tanzania

Five hundred team leaders from across Tanzania joined together to celebrate all that God has done through their ministries this year and to encourage each other to stay faithful. More than 100 prayer partners joined in the celebration to cover the grounds with prayer and commit the week to the Lord.

The theme of the conference was “Bwana Nenda Nasoi” which means “Lord go with us.” To begin, a few staff gave the leaders an opportunity to ask the Lord to go with them when they go to be with kids. Together, they prayed for God to open new doors for ministry, for each others’ families, and for a renewal of the Holy Spirit’s guidance in each leader. As the conference went on, leaders participated in competitions together like soccer tournaments, dance challenges, poetry readings, and even running a race together. As the conference came to an end, leaders who had been in the ministry for more than five years were recognized and celebrated. As a way to encourage the rest of the Young Life leaders in Tanzania, these team leaders were empowered to go home and recognize their core leaders in this same way.
