Young Life began in Congo-Brazzaville in 2023, and the Lord has worked there in powerful ways. Despite political and economic hardship, Young Life in Congo-Brazzaville has grown rapidly. We now have eight ministries and 103 volunteer leaders!
Congo-Brazzaville, a developing country under the supervision of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, is slightly smaller than the U.S. state of Montana. Home to 6.1 million people — most of whom are Bantu — the country’s official language is French.
With nearly half of its population under the age of 18, it is a youthful and dynamic nation. Young Life continues to flourish in Congo-Brazzaville where leaders know more than 6,400 teens by their names.
