Augustine Okudel Okiria – Uganda

Augustine was born into a Christian family, but never had a personal relationship with Jesus. He spent his early teenage years struggling with sin and temptation. He was persuaded to attend a Young Life camp in Tanzania. While he was there, he realized his deep need for Jesus. At the end of camp, Augustine stood up to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of his life. In 2003, Augustine began leader training with Young Life and came on staff three years later. He has watched Young Life impact not only the lives of many young people, but also his own life. He now serves as a regional director in Southern Uganda where he lives with his wife and children.
