David Nyoma John – South Sudan

Area Director II

David gave his life to Jesus in 1992 and since then has been pursuing Christ. A pastor at his local church, he first heard about Young Life through a coworker who had been a Young Life leader. When he learned about the mission of Young Life, he decided to attend Young Life leadership training. David is one of the main components to Young Life starting in South Sudan. Previously serving as the country coordinator and now as an area director II, David oversees ministry growth in the entire country. He works closely with Martin Wamalwa and key leaders and now supervises 23 clubs, 71 leaders, and 500 teens who attend clubs. His current focus is mentoring and strengthening more leaders and connecting with the community to create more awareness about Young Life and the impact of the ministry.
