Area Director

Edward began his journey with Jesus in 2009 at a Young Life camp in Dar es Salaam, where he encountered the power of Christ’s love and made the decision to forgive his abusive stepmother, setting him on a path of faith and healing. Introduced to Young Life a year earlier by Zanzibar’s first leader, Donisya, he was drawn in by the welcoming community he found at club. Edward has served faithfully in multiple roles, including volunteer area director. Today, Edward leads as the staff area director for a thriving ministry on Unguja Island, overseeing 32 clubs, 82 leaders, over 2,200 Campaigners, and more than 220 prayer partners. Wanting to reach even more teens with the gospel, his goal is to expand Young Life’s presence into 10 more clubs across the island.
