Elise Ndiaye* – Senegal

Elise was born into a Catholic family and grew up attending mass. She got baptized at the age of eight but her faith in Christ was still questioned. At age thirteen she felt sick and got treatment but it didn’t heal her. She was later taken to a charismatic church, there she received healing through prayer and encountered Jesus also. Elise first heard about Young Life through a friend’s brother named Jacques Gomis who invited her to a club. Elise attended the club and she was carry away by the way the message was presented. Her quest to see teenagers been transform led her to serve as a volunteer leader. Today Elise is the area director for for Dakar Ouest area.
