José António Tayob – Mozambique

José accepted Jesus in 2010 at a Young Life club. Before attending, he was focused on the works of being a Christian – attending church, reading Scripture and even attending regular Bible studies – but his heart was still hardened to Jesus. One night in Young Life club, the speaker’s message touched his heart like never before, and he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. José stayed involved in Young Life, and later began to serve as a volunteer leader. He went on to start a Young Life club in a new area and in 2015 began the Developing Global Leaders program. He then moved to Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, where he currently lives with his wife, Celeste, and serves as an area director.
