Martin Nga’nga Mbuthia – Kenya

Martin first started following Jesus as a teenager when he heard about Jesus’ love for him at a church seminar. This was the first time he felt like he belonged. Then, he started leading others in his church’s youth group. Martin first learned about Young Life in 2010, when his friend, George, invited him to a Young Life club. After seeing all of the fun that kids had while hearing about Jesus, he was hooked and couldn’t wait to get involved. He started to attend trainings and events, and then was able to serve on work crew at a local camp. Today, Martin is an area director in Kiamwangi, Kenya. Martin says that the most beautiful part of his job is hearing that kids feel the same sense of belonging from Jesus that he experienced as a teenager.
