Mphilisi Mgwenya

Area Director

Mphilisi Mgwenya serves as area director for Young Life Shiselweni in Eswatini. Raised in a church going family, his personal relationship with Jesus began in 2010 after a powerful message during a school assembly. Following high school, he was invited to a Young Life camp by his former principal. Initially skeptical of the ministry’s approach, his perspective shifted after experiencing its impact firsthand. After training in Manzini, he launched Young Life in 2017 at his former school. Today, Mphilisi leads 27 clubs and 130 leaders, driven by a passion to expand the gospel’s reach across unserved communities.
