Patrick Lavahun – Sierra Leone

Regional Director

Patrick is a friendly and outgoing worker for the Lord, and a humble servant who loves Jesus. He met the Lord through a crusade, where he was convicted of his sin and compelled to surrender himself fully to the Lord. After getting involved in Young Life in 2008, he now is a regional director in Freetown, Sierra Leone. He oversees 28 clubs and over 80 leaders. The outbreak of the Ebola virus in 2014 affected the ministry work because of the state of emergency, but leaders continued to do contact work through phone calls and by visiting Campaigner kids. They worked with Ebola survivors and held three survivors camps with over 520 survivors attending those camps. They also continued doing outreach camps after Sierra Leone was declared Ebola free. We are so thankful for Patrick’s steadfast and faithful leadership amongst one of the most difficult times in Sierra Leone, and know that the Lord has incredible things planned for this country and His people there.
