At a youth program through her church, Perseverance received Christ at the age of 12 and started her faith journey. She later served as a Sunday school teacher. Perseverance accepted an invitation to a Young Life Campaigners camp and loved the way that the ministry introduced teens to Jesus Christ — so different from the way her church did. Trained to become a leader, she was an area team leader for three years. After more leader training, she was convinced that she was made for this — to join the mission of Young Life. Currently, Perseverance leads ten clubs in her area with 122 leaders. Over 500 teens come each week to study the Bible together, and she and her team are intentional about training more leaders to reach even more teenagers with the good news of Jesus.
