Rahel Abdissa* – Ethiopia

Associate Regional Director

Rahel met Jesus when she was 15 years old through a woman who mentored her and introduced her to the Lord. Because of this relationship with her mentor, Rahel understood the importance of real relationships with a mentor and close friend. When Rahel was in high school, her Young Life leader prayed for her and encouraged her to go to Young Life. When she finally went, Rahel loved it and started to dream about being a leader one day. When Rahel became a Young Life leader, she was encouraged by how easy it was for her to see the presence of Jesus. She says that still holds true despite leading Young Life in a difficult area. Rahel served as the area director for the Kora, Lafeto, and Menknsay neighborhoods and now is an associate regional director for Ethiopia.
