Robert Obore* – Uganda

Area Director

Robert is an area director in Pallisa in the eastern region of Uganda. He met his Young Life leader on the streets of his village in 2009 who invited him to club and to camp. At the time, Robert was addicted to drinking which caused a lot of issues both at home and at school. Robert started a relationship with Christ through his time in Young Life and grew in his faith with the help of his leader. The more Robert learned about Christ, the more he wanted to become a volunteer leader, which grew to a desire to be in his current role. Robert is grateful to God that he is a strong follower of Jesus and a positive influence to young people in his village through the ministry of Young Life.
