Solomon Yibra* – Ethiopia

Solomon was raised in a Christian home, but his relationship with God did not become truly his own until going to Young Life. A classmate invited him to club, and the more he went, the closer he grew to his leader. At camp that summer, Solomon heard the gospel in a fresh way and began to follow Jesus. He came home and began to read his Bible and grow in his faith. Solomon’s spiritual growth and involvement in Young Life led to his enrollment in the Developing Global Leaders program, a program which enables select high school graduates to obtain a university education while serving as a volunteer leader. Because of his desire to serve the Lord, Solomon was invited onto Young Life staff after he graduated. He is currently an area director in Dese Kombolecha in northern Ethiopia.
