As a high school student in 2012, Zena was invited to Young Life club by her local leader, Mehret. She went to club every week and eventually gave her life to Jesus at an outreach camp later that year. After camp, Mehret continued to pursue Zena to help her grow in her faith. They attended church together each week and eventually went to a discipleship camp as well. Merhet saw the potential Zena had and encouraged her to become a Young Life leader to pursue her younger peers. She gladly ran after that calling! Today, Zena leads ministry in three schools and oversees one Capernaum ministry.
