Teen Moms Ministry in Ethiopia

God is wonderful. He is a miracle working God. One girl we have pursued regularly is named Liya. As a teen mom, before she came to Young Life she had a very difficult life.

Because she had a baby as a teenager her family rejected her. When Liya went to camp last year her life changed. This year she had the opportunity to go to Discipleship camp with her leader. Her leader was supportive, kind and poured into her. She related to her by sharing her own personal story and experience as a teen mom. She shared Christ with Liya.

Liya shared “my spiritual life has grown, and I am now attending church and have a personal relationship with Christ. Thanks to my experience, I can’t wait to share Christ with others who were in a similar situation as me. God has healed me and makes me feel free from any oppression.”
