A friendship grounded in Jesus-Kenya

Peter lives in the village of Mabomani in Kenya. He comes from a humble background which has contributed to his struggle with drugs and to his choice to drop out of school. One day he met a man named Lenjo who told him about Young Life and Jesus, but this conversation was familiar to him. He thought he already had a relationship with Christ, but he realized that he was not living out his faith.

For Lenjo this was the beginning of a friendship grounded in Jesus. Spending time with Peter and studying Bible stories and Jesus, he has noticed that Peter’s heart has become gentler. He has now discovered his desire to be more like Christ instead of just learning about Him. His soul longs to know Jesus and walk with Him in a deep relationship. “I am so grateful to Young Life for helping me rekindle my faith and change my life to honor Jesus.”
