Blantyre Outreach Camp, Malawi

August 1-3, 2018

Young Life Outreach Camp is an incredible place for kids to hear about the saving grace and love of Jesus Christ, some for the first time. In early August, 118 kids came to Blantyre Outreach Camp for a life-changing weekend. By the end of the three days, 104 kids, including five Muslims, committed their lives to Christ. Here are three stories from the camp:

Christopher

“My name is Christopher. My life has never been so exciting in my 14 years of existence, I thank God for Young Life camp. I was given an opportunity to deeply search my soul and I have reconsidered and established a relationship with God. Not only that, it was also amazing to get to know other people and make friends from different areas. I am happier than ever before; thank you Jesus.”

Ellen

“I am Ellen. I lost my father when I was very young. I have been raised by my mom. I am an only child but it hasn’t been easy for her to provide for me. We live in an orphanage home and my mom is the caretaker at the orphanage. I met Ernest (Young Life leader)  when I was in form one, he has walked with me for the past four years and I can honestly say he is like a father to me. I had never before had someone to look up to, run to, seek wisdom from or be open to when I feel insecure. I have seen God’s love through him and his consistency and commitment to me. At Young Life camp I have been taught about how God sees me that he loves me despite my weaknesses. I hope to go home and fully submit to God as he gave more than a sacrifice just for me.”

Praise God for all He did at this camp! More than a hundred kids are going home with new hope in this life and the next.
