Joseph Ongoiba* – Mali

Area Director

Joseph grew up in a Christian family that held very conservative values, and thus he didn’t fully experience the freedom of Christ. Joseph accepted Jesus at a young age and was baptized at the age of 17. He got involved in his church and held several church responsibilities. After studying economic policy analysis at the University of Bamako, he started teaching at Koro high school as the senior professor of financial mathematics. Joseph was introduced to Young Life in 2014, and he got involved quickly. He is currently the area director of Young Life in Koro, which has ministries in more than 10 villages.
