In 2008, his classmate, Cinyabuguma, and his Young Life leader, Benga, invited Mwetaminwa to Young Life. He had a good time and continued to go. A year later, he went to Young life camp and began attending Campaigners after camp. Because of his consistent investment in Campaigners, his leader invited him to join Young Life leadership training. He went on to become a leader in Muhungu area club and he has helped start many new ministries in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Mwetaminwa currently is an area director in South Kivu, specifically in the Panzi area, where he oversees 44 ministries.
