A second chance at life – on earth and in heaven

Local Young Life leader, Behailu, spends lots of time with Natnael, as they live in the same neighborhood. From their first conversation, Behailu could see Natnael’s restless heart and lack of peace. Natnael did not know Christ. Behailu often prayed that his friend would come to know Him. One day Natnael received notice that he had been drafted into the army. He was shot in the abdomen during battle which sent him home to recover. His injury put him in the hospital for two very difficult months.

Behailu often visited Natnael in the hospital. He took the opportunity to share the gospel with him after he came home. He told Natnael that it was no coincidence that God spared his life. This conversation changed Natnael’s life forever. He decided to follow Jesus! Since Natnael’s release from the hospital, he and Behailu do a one on one Bible study together. He also attended a discipleship camp to deepen his spiritual roots! Behailu thanks God for the second chance He gave his friend, not only for physical life, but for an eternal one in heaven as well.
