Jesus Trail
A Holy Land Expedition
March 29 – April 9, 2027
Join local Young Life staff for a 4-day, 41-mile trek along the Jesus Trail from Nazareth to Capernaum, walking the same hills and shoreline where Jesus taught, healed, and called His disciples. Along the way you’ll tour the Holy Land’s most significant sites — Nazareth, Cana, the Sea of Galilee, the Jordan River, the Dead Sea, Bethlehem, and Jerusalem — and visit the place where hundreds of teenagers experience Young Life camp just outside of Bethlehem.
Hike with local Young Life staff from Young Life Israel and Young Life Palestine!
Participants are asked to raise a goal of $1,000 in campership funds over and above the cost of the trip to help send kids across Africa and the Middle East to Young Life camp this summer. Whether this goal is unmet or exceeded, our local ministry team will be deeply grateful — camp is a place where teens’ lives are radically changed for all eternity!
Expedition Overview
- Hike the 4-day, 41-mile Jesus Trail from Nazareth to Capernaum alongside local Young Life staff and leaders
- Tour the Holy Land — Nazareth, Mt. Carmel, Cana, the Sea of Galilee, the Jordan River, the Dead Sea, Bethlehem, and Jerusalem
- Visit Young Life Ibilin and Zababdeh, home of the very first Young Life club in the Middle East
- See where hundreds of teenagers experience Young Life camp just outside of Bethlehem
- Take on the challenge of raising $1,000 in campership to send kids in Africa and the Middle East to camp

The Hike
Four days on the Jesus Trail from Nazareth to Capernaum — approximately 41 miles total, plus additional walking at tourist sites along the way. Difficulty ranges from easy to medium, with rocky terrain and a steep descent down Mt. Arbel. A hiking guide accompanies the group, and transportation is available for anyone needing to leave the trail at the end of each section.
Hikers should prepare with training, proper gear, and medical advice from a physician. Hiking is at your own risk.

- Guest house accommodations
- Ground transportation in a private, air-conditioned coach, including group airport transfers
- Three meals daily (some hike-day lunches are packed or bring-your-own)

- Airfare
- Personal expenses — passport and visa fees, Wi-Fi, laundry, souvenirs, and optional excursions
- Alcoholic beverages and drinks not specifically included at meals
- Single occupancy — $400 supplement, requested at registration and subject to availability
- Travel and trip insurance beyond what Young Life provides (strongly encouraged)
