On this non-technical climb conquering one of the Seven Summits, you’ll journey through five different climate zones ascending above the clouds to Uhuru Peak where you’ll watch the sunrise over Africa. With over 15 years experience working alongside our team of Tanzanian guides, we’ve achieved a 95% summit success rate, assuring you a safe and unforgettable adventure.
What makes this trek unique are the ministry touch points we introduce every step of the way. A Young Life staff person from the region will join the group up the mountain to build relationships and share about their ministry in their country. And before and after the trek, your time in Arusha opens the door to visit a local Young Life club, pray over leaders, and meet the kids and staff carrying the ministry forward.
Expedition Overview
- Experience a traditional village in Moshi
- Trek the Lemosho or Machame Route to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro
- Taste local cuisine
- Support local artisans at the Maasai Market
- Connect with local Young Life ministry in Arusha — visit a club, pray for leaders, and meet kids and staff

| Day 2 | Pack and check gear for the climb · Safety briefing with mountain guides |
| Day 3 | Hot lunch at Machame Gate · Trek to Machame Camp at 10,000 feet |
| Day 4 | Trek to Shira Camp at 12,500 feet |
| Day 5 | Trek to Baranco Camp at 13,100 feet |
| Day 6 | Trek to Karanga Camp at 13,500 feet |
| Day 7 | Trek to Barafu Camp at 15,400 feet |
| Day 8 | Trek to the summit at 19,340 feet · Descend to Mweka Camp at 10,000 feet |
| Day 9 | Trek to Mweka Gate at 5,423 feet · Hot lunch at Mweka Gate · Check into Mount Meru Hotel |
