Angelo Sarnete – Mozambique
Area Director
As a child, Angelo was unable to attend school due to documentation complications; kids in his neighborhood bullied him because of this. Eventually, he went to school, but the bullying continued. He was ashamed of being the oldest kid in class and considered dropping out; he became rebellious and angry. When Angelo was 17, he met a friend who invited him to a Young Life club. There, he heard the gospel and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. Angelo continued to grow in his faith. In 2014 he had the opportunity to study physics through a Developing Global Leader (DGL) scholarship. While a student, he served as a volunteer leader. Later, he started Young Life club at his university. Angelo now lives in Manica and continues ministry as area director in the city of Chimoio.
