Costa Mtweve – Tanzania

Regional Director

Costa was born into a Christian family on the predominantly Muslim island of Zanzibar. Throughout his life, his family faced persecution because of their Christian faith, but Costa persevered. When he was 22, a friend invited him to a Young Life club, and he fell in love with the style of ministry. Not long after, he started as a volunteer leader. Costa was accepted into the Developing Global Leaders program, and he pursued his dreams to become a civil engineer. He moved to Mbeya, Tanzania for University and studied for three years while simultaneously working hard to establish Young Life in Mbeya city. All glory to God, the ministry took off, and by 2015 he graduated as a civil engineer. Costa came on staff as a logistics coordinator and now serves as a regional director in Tanzania.
