Evangeline John

Meeting Christ at 15, Evangeline decided to start a weekly Bible study for teenage girls. 

In 2015, Evangeline and her husband, Stephen, launched the first Young Life club in Aboru, Lagos. While Stephen focused on young men, she focused on young women, a partnership that continues today. She went on to serve as the women’s coordinator for Nigeria. She currently serves as the women’s lead coordinator for West Africa and area director for Lagos Central, where she supervises more than 20 clubs and desires that they be spaces where adolescents are loved and heard. Her greatest joy is witnessing young people choose to follow Jesus Christ.
