Irene Michel Ayo – Tanzania

Irene joined Young Life in high school during a phase of teenage rebellion. She engaged in fights with other girls, stole things, and disrespected her parents. Yet in 2007, she met the Lord at a Young Life camp and her life was completely transformed. Irene committed her life to Jesus, joined a Campaigners Bible study, and learned how to pray, read the Bible and grow spiritually. Now, Irene leads other lost and rebellious girls to Jesus through Young Life in Arusha. As area director, she runs clubs and camps and does contact work in the urban and northern areas of the city. She continues to see more and more lives transformed by the gospel, just like her life was transformed.
