Lawrence Erotu – Uganda

Regional Director

While in college, Lawrence met the Lord through his friends who were praying for freedom for students who had been abducted by the rebels in northern Uganda. By God’s grace, all of them were released. It was through the power of prayer and community that allowed Lawrence to encounter Jesus for the first time. In 2005, he joined Young Life after seeing the impact it had on his own son. He was convinced that all children in Uganda should receive the same mentorship, friendship, and love his son benefited from in Young Life and began doing contact work in his local area. Many teens have since met the Lord through Lawrence’s ministry in the cities of Amuria and Moroto, Uganda. Lawrence now serves as regional director in eastern Uganda.
