Levina Ruta – Tanzania

Levina had a difficult home life growing up and had to drop out of school to work by collecting pebbles. Four years later, a sponsorship helped her return to school. After graduating, Levina met a Young Life leader named Moses through a random encounter. He invited her to come to a Young Life camp where her life was changed. She realized that Jesus had been fighting for her. She is a Young Life leader today because of that chance encounter. She believes that God is in control and has a purpose for her life and for the kids she is meeting along the way. Levina now serves as a staff associate in Tanzania.
