Soccer Camp

Over 140 kids gathered together for this soccer camp in the Segou area of Mali. There were 76 girls present, and 131 Muslims. One of the 65 Muslim boys is Moussa, who is 15-years-old and has been attending Young Life for about a year. He was attracted to Young Life because of the relationships that develop between leaders and kids. Both of his parents leave early and return late for their jobs as fruit salesmen, so he’s often very lonely. He calls Young Life his family, and says that camp was an opportunity for him to experience the love of Jesus manifested by care from leaders and friends. Now Moussa has decided to follow Jesus, along with 23 other kids! We are praising God for His continued work in Mali! Please pray for our new friends who are seeking Jesus amidst families and communities that don’t often agree.
