Enabling God’s Love-Uganda

Young Life Capernaum gives teens with disabilities the chance to experience fun and adventure, to develop fulfilling friendships, and challenge their limits while building self-esteem through clubs, camps, and other exciting activities. Most importantly, we tell these teens about the God who loves them just as they are.

Anyovi Daniel, a volunteer area director from the Adjumani area in Northern Uganda, is excited to start his first Capernaum Club in an institution with friends who are blind, deaf, or have other physical disabilities.

Together with his leaders, they have started to visit the institution regularly and hold club activities with them. They are working together with the institutions’ special needs support staff to ensure that each friend in the institution finds belonging and participates in the various activities. In this act of love, the leaders have brought so much joy, and their new friends look forward to them coming every week.
