Antoine Gomis* – Senegal

Regional Director

Antoine was born into a Catholic Christian family. Being raised in this setting permitted him to stay closely involved with church and he was seriously interested in pursuing and knowing the Lord deeply by his adolescent years. As time passed, he became further involved in leadership in his church and was leading the youth there for six years. He led a prayer group every Thursday night. It was in 2009 when Antoine met Joseph Madu (of Young Life Nigeria) and became acquainted with the richness of the ministry of Young Life in Africa. “I wanted to become a volunteer to be able to better know the Lord and to read the Bible and speak the good news to the youth.” Antoine became a staff member February of 2016 and today is a regional director. Along with loving kids and being a faithful prayer warrior, Antoine is a talented guitarist and singer/songwriter. “I love working with Young Life Senegal because it has brought me so many new friends, a rich community, and a vision for the lost.”
