Area Director

Philani is an area director in Bulawayo. He oversees 11 ministries and 90 volunteer leaders. He was invited to a Young Life club in high school. He was moved by the message about creation and the love of God. He knew and understood the love Jesus had for him like never before. After years of attending weekly clubs and going to camp, he trained to be a volunteer leader. He joined the Young Life staff, serving first as an associate logistics coordinator and now as associate area director. His team includes pastors and heads of local schools who help to support ministry. They look forward to opening WyldLife for middle school students and YoungLives for teen moms in the near future, and to reach every teen with the love of Jesus.
